It does this by allowing you to create, edit, delete and move partitions, which are the basic elements by which your drive is managed. For example, if you have two drive letters - C and D - but only a single hard drive, then you probably have two separate hard drive partitions. PowerQuest - PartitionMagic 8.0 features - Verdict

Any piece of software that reaches version number 8 is likely to have matured nicely, and that's the case here. PartitionMagic does its job well and the new features will be of interest to users with big hard drives or external drives. However, if you already have a previous version of the software there's nothing else here that's a 'must have'. The new features, such as the file manager and 'wizards', are interesting, but for business users their value may be limited. Then again, it's fairly inexpensive software.
